Hermitage, TN — TriStar Summit Medical Center announces Heather Stafford, MBA, BSN, RN, NE-BC, as new Chief Nursing Officer.
Stafford has been serving as TriStar Summit's Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) since July of last year, providing leadership across multiple nursing departments and leading efforts to further TriStar Summit's clinical excellence.
"We are delighted for Heather to assume the Chief Nursing Officer role," said Brian Marger, Chief Executive Officer at TriStar Summit Medical Center. "Heather's vast experience will help further our mission of providing excellent care to the communities we serve."
Stafford started her healthcare career at TriStar Summit Medical Center, sixteen years ago as a Nurse Technician in the Emergency Department. As her career advanced, Stafford graduated from HCA Healthcare's Emergency Department Leadership Development Program as well as HCA Healthcare's Executive Development Program, and served in a variety of leadership roles including Director of Emergency and Cardiac Services and Associate Chief Nursing Officer at TriStar Skyline Medical Center.
Stafford is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and Cumberland University (BSN), in addition to earning her MBA from Western Governors' University. Always eager to learn, she is also in the process of earning her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in Executive Leadership from Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. Stafford is a member of both the Emergency Nursing Association (ENA) and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) professional societies.
